Wow...

So it's been a little while since I've posted anything. I'm not even going to attempt to try and catch you up since last August (sheesh...) so here are some of the things we've been up to since then... and of course they're all in reverse of how I uploaded them, so sorry about the mess :)

Karolin and I rocked out this fun photo shoot for work a few weeks ago. It was in the most remote location ever but it turned out really cool!

The photo shoot was actually for a photography workshop put on by Blue Lily Photography. Wendy is AMAZING! Check out her work on her blog, and to top it off she is super sweet and fun.

Yeah, imagine how dumb I felt snapping these pics with my little digital Nikon camera when there's 10 professional wedding photographers all around me taking these awesome shots! haha Here's me and Karolin at the shoot. She was the best intern ever! I am so going to miss her :(

Rex had a birthday. He's 30. So we thought we'd take him to Texas Roadhouse and make him ride the bull :)

Here's Gunner and Merrick at the Youth Museum. It was all about baseball so Gunner was stoked. Merrick was just excited to be set free and touch whatever he wanted to!

Riding in the car with Papa Reed

Okay, seriously, how priceless is this face??? I was dying.

Remember when it rained like crazy a few months ago? The kids were loving it after church one day.

One of the boy's favorite things to do lately is ride the dirt bike around the park. Luckily they all fit...we're all about safety around here :)
Gunner started playing soccer. After trying out every position on the field possible, I think he found the right one! He loves it though and even kicked a goal a few weeks ago! Go cougars!!

Merrick trying to get in on the action!

Easter Sunday! Gunner got loaded with some good stuff!

Merrick actually understood that he was supposed to go and find all the eggs. Unfortunately, everytime he bent over to get one, all the other eggs would fall out of his basket! So cute though :)

Starting the hunt! Gunner was so awesome and helped Merrick load up his basket too.

100% Boy

Merrick and I have been in Utah visiting Shannon and Davis for the past few days. We are having so much fun relaxing and being with good friends. Tonight I put Merrick down on the grass to roam around. He immediately found the dirt! He dug right in and I had to grab the camera.

We've had a lot of fun catching up with Shannon and Miss Davis, how cute are these two in the back seat?

Daniel, the Kiwi, served as my "baby holder" for most of the weekend. Good thing Merrick loved him!

And I became an AT&T salesperson and convinced Justin and Shannon that they HAD TO HAVE iPHONES...way cuter than the Blackberry, don't you agree?

We had fun up in the mountains, it is GORGEOUS in Utah this time of year!

He's Mobile...

My little man is fully, completely, 100% mobile...talk about wanting to go crazy! He thinks he can conquer the world now that he can get around! He is so cute though. If I lay on my bed, he will crawl over to it and pull himself up so that he's barely looking over the edge and he can see me, and then when he does see me he gets this huge grin on his face and kinda laughs. And then he gets a little over-excited and usually falls :) But even though he is into EVERYTHING lately, I am just loving him to death and having fun watching him learn and grow. We went to the doctor the other day for his very first check up since he was born. He weighs 19 pounds (seriously, you could have fooled me...I was betting on at least 25) and is in the 90% for height! He's a Hutchins alright! Here's a few pictures from the last month or so...

Look at that cute hair and beautiful skin! He has the cutest rosy cheeks I have ever seen!

All dressed up and ready for church, so GQ

This is my favorite face in the whole world!

Merrick hasn't really decided wether or not he loves the swing. It's been a "I'm freaking out but everyone is looking at me and being happy that I'm in here, so I don't know how to feel" kind of experience for him I think...
We are going on a little vacation this weekend! Merrick and I are headed to Provo to visit Shannon and Davis for a few days. I'm sure there will be plenty of cooking, shopping and nonstop mom-style partying :) Can't wait!

Yeah for me!

So I got an amazing new job a few weeks ago! I'm an associate event planner at this great company called Outstanding Occasions. If any of you know me (and if you're reading my blog I hope you do...no creepers! However, blog-stalkers are accepted since I am one myself) anyway...if you know me at all, then you totally know that this kind of work is right up my alley! Not only do I get to have fun and plan weddings all day, but I get to stay home more often and play with Mr. Merrick. (Who, by the way, is a full-on crawler now! I yi yi...) It literally is going to be a dream job once I completely get into it. The girls that I work with, Jennifer and Heather, are super cute and fun and we have some truly amazing weddings on the horizon. Check out our website and see some of the great work they've done in the past. And you can also check out our fun little blog, In the Know with OO. It's got all kinds of fun wedding snippets and even if you're not into weddings, some of the stuff we have on there is dang cute anyway. Today was my first post so make sure you stop by and read it. And feel free to leave a comment, add a button onto your blog, whatever floats your boat :) Most importantly, tell all your friends! I am so excited to have this great new job, I'll have to post all the fun stuff that we get to see and do!

A little motivation please...

So last June (yes, as in 1 whole entire year ago) I bought this super cute little dresser on a Saturday morning and took it home and had all kinds of romantic, decorative ideas about painting it lavender and putting cute Anthropologie handles on it and it was going to be just perfect in my little girl's room...*sigh*. Then by Sunday morning I realized I was lazy, fat, unmotivated and pregnant and then not too much later I found out I was having a boy...cute dresser dreams (as Jim Carey would say) "chk, chk, deleted!" So it sat on the back porch and then one day I painted it blue. And then it sat for a while longer and I put a clear coat on it. The end result was terrible! I will never try and do anything that requires patience and artistic ability when I am wretchedly pregnant again! Needless to say, the dresser was too horrible to bring indoors, it really needed to be redone! And so it continued to sit on my mother-in-laws back porch. Until the other day I finally went and picked it up, and I am sure that she is deliriously happy that it is out of her sight! Kristen and I started sanding it the other day and I have yet to decide what I am am going to do with the thing once it's ready to paint. I just thought I would post a few "before" pics and maybe that will give me that extra bit of motivation to get this little project done and out of the way. So before you know it, I will be posting "after" pictures, right? As long as you pay no attention to my track record...

Here's the little beauty. Loving the Tiffany Blue, but the clear coat is totally yellow. Couldn't possibly be from sitting on the back porch for a year, right??

Here's Kristen getting some work done! If anyone is highly motivated in this project, it is most definitely her...it's on HER back porch now!! Haha

Kristen really rocks at projects like this though. She just re-did her kitchen table and it is totally cute. I am so glad she (and her paint sprayer) are going to be helping me with this :)

And this desk is the next project. The crackle...not so much. Maybe someday we'll get around to this one!
